It's been two weeks since I began my position here at MDAO and I have to say without a doubt, it has been the easiest, most enjoyable workplace transition I have ever had. I knew when I finished school, I wanted to work in an environment where I felt I could make a difference, but more importantly I wanted to work somewhere that I could be myself, share my insights and give people an opportunity to "talk to someone who's been there."
In my introductory bio, I state that "I take with me into this role, a significant amount of lived and professional experience," therefore I'd like to use this blog as an opportunity to share some of those experiences in hopes of generating some real discussion about issues that affect both Youth and Families impacted by mood disorders and early psychosis.
