Thanks, back to "normal" now, and I have leftover pain meds just in case.

Different topic - I got myself out of depression (more or less) twice lately by forcing myself to leave the apt and walk a lot/do errands.

I think that more strenuous exercise would help even more.

I need tips on catching triggers.  They can be very subtle.

I haven't finished rereading my WRAP manual yet.....maybe something in there?

General Discussion / Re: Donations to charities

Charities are meant for the rich as a tax right off and nothing more . Any money that goes into the charity is just to pay some CEO a million dollar plus bonus.

A little harsh?  You can probably see their salaries on the net.

BTW, Value Village stores donate SOME of their profits to charities. (contrary to public opinion)  I emailed them to ask why no mental health charities on their list, and they said mental health issues people would be indirectly getting some of the profits - I forget the exact phrase they used.

I used to work at Queen's Park.  People there who earn over $100,000 have their names, salaries and titles published for all to see (by law?).  Anyway, lots of surprises, like police constables (lotsa overtime?), tradespeople (lotsa overtime?).

General Discussion / Re: Social Phobia Group Closed.....

Paul, a person from the group emails everyone in the group to tell them.....I always forget which Saturday of the month it is.  The person who emails everyone chooses a restaurant, maybe with input from other members.  Lately not a lot of people show up - less than 10.

Want me to ask her if a "newbie" can be put on the email list?

Hi, Paul....Me too.  We're still keeping our once a month dinner outing, if anyone is interested.
Please contact me.........I don't run it, but I can turn it on to the person who does.

General Discussion / Social Phobia Group Closed.....

The social phobia support group started by Earla Dunbar (look her up - she's famous in the mental health community).  I forget the exact name, but maybe their site even closed.

However, the other social phobia support group (lotsa members) is still around.  I forget the name, but they often use one of the MDAO rooms, but they aren't part of MDAO.  The head of that group is "Rama."

Earla is a nice lady, and a pioneer.  There are awards named after her.

Good tips!

The main Toronto library has the largest collection of recordable/downloadable music in the world.  (how they measure these things?)
You need a library card to get on.

I have a package of forms when Emerg discharged me.  A little worrisome/ a little not - the CT scan  (without a dye to highlight stuff in my body) report
has lotsa little things that are wrong.....btw, MOST of the terms I had to look up on Wiki.
Good news:  The radiologist (?) uses words like "tiny,"very small" a lot......example - I may have a cyst on one kidney, but it's so small, she's not sure.

Good news:  Recommendations on report - get CT scan of chest in a few months.....something or other with gall bladder.....I forget. (report mentions lungs twice, but I can't "translate.

Guys, aren't there still two CAMH locations?  Queen Street and College and Spadina.

In that case, which one does Peace mean?

Hi, guys......I have an appointment with a stomach specialist in Sept.

The hospital is Scarborough General, not far from my place....but my regular hospital is St. Michaels, Toronto.

More to say later......My gall bladder is back to normal (?).  But maybe there is something still wrong with it - I'm going back to emergency to find out, just in case.

I'm impressed how the hospital gets the blood and urine tests results so fast.
