My cat is still very jumpy and jittery after all this time, but little improvements every week.

BTW, I've never had him on my lap.......I figure he'd get nervous and jump off...eventually.

G, glad you like it - I was one of the warmup comics.

One of the main female comics wore a ring-tailed lemur outfit!  That's my style!  I didn't get a chance to propose to her....LOL

Laughing Like Crazy Info Session: Thursday August 13, 2015 from 6 - 9pm. Register Now.

This is a repeat, but I'm under the weather, so it may cheer me up.  :o
-the rookie LLC class often had the adjoining classroom to us, the veterans
-before the class, or during break, I walk in, and ask: "Is this The I Can't Stop Watching Dog the Bounty Hunter Support Group?"  Every single time, both  teachers reply:  "Hi, Peter!"
-but I also have toy cows or whatever that I pretend are talking behind the door....hard to explain

General Discussion / Ever thought of taking a self-defense course?
« on: July 17, 2015, 11:28:41 pm »
(this question has nothing to do with MH or being a "Moodie.")

Took judo in Grade 7 - doesn't count.

If I had extra $, I would take maybe Krav Maga - it was invented by a Jewish guy in Bratislava (?) who was sick of anti Semitic thugs. (years ago)

I believe it's used by the Israeli (and Russian?) armed forces? It's a combination of other martial arts.

There are other Russian self defence methods........I forget the names.

Why am I interested? - I'm old (68), in a dumpy neighbourhood, fitness, the world is more and more dangerous.  Exercise.....confidence.

Good ones!

End of July or so, there will be a Laughing like Crazy show at Toronto Central YMCA auditorium.
Usually, free admission, but you have to reserve seats online.

I'll be one of the "veterans" doing some warm up jokes before the show.

On second thought, there is no free admission.  The admission is 3 verifiable phone numbers of 68 year old (my age) women with glasses (my fetish).  That way I can better test the aphrodisiac abilities of Wellbutrin.  :-*

However it is known that the more you take of Cipralex the higher the odds of running into side effects, especially sexual problems. Source  Health Cda's drug data base  http://www.hc-sc.gc.ca/dhp-mps/prodpharma/databasdon/index-eng.php  and others.
  Didn't know about this.

I'm taking 30 mg Cipralex.  This reminds me to double check if I ever took more.  Anyway, I also take 300 mg Wellbutrin XL.
There's a lot of anecdotal evidence that Wellbutrin is an aphrodisiac - see crazymeds.us, for one.
On the other hand, a lot of people find Wellbutrin makes them cranky.

Haven't met anyone lately, so I can't comment on if Wellbutrin is a good aphrodisiac or not.

good luck.....Peter

Good idea! You can buy mental health themed buttons, t shirts, coffee mugs etc. through
crazymeds.us.  I assume the company that sells them is FOR profit.

The only t shirt saying I remember is "Medicated for your Protection."  They also have buttons etc of a photo of a pile of meds, kinda like abstract art.

At the Humane Society, they wouldn't give me the usual cardboard carrier....he'll fall through.... ::)

Right side of page, half way down....Peshawna.

 I wanted a middle-aged cat....they're "on the shelf" a long time.

Lots of their cats have ailments!!! Sheesh......litterbox problems etc....mine had minor stuff.

I'll build a little fort for him to hang around in at first.....since he'll be scared.

This is life changing!

 Peter

No shortage of toys around here....looking for small toy robots......7 dollars each. From the Source (formerly Radio Shack)

don't find long haired cats appealing.....not because of shedding.
Same with orange, but I would take one.

I hope to get an older one, but not like 14-16 years old.

Someone told me to get a male, because they're more.......?.........I forget....never heard of that.

Problem....walking me up at odd hours.....but that's life.

I have tiny apt, if the cat is used to a housel.,,,,,,,

But my tin apt has lots of nooks and crannies.....toys that light up.... I'm getting a bunch of toy robots at The Source (formerly Radio Shack. Only six bucks each. They have a swimming robot that I would but in a container of water - that'll make the cat curious.

There are pairs of cats than can't be separated.......no prob, but my tiny apt.......

It wouldn't be bored around here!

Ordering some cat DVD's from Amazon....DVD's of birds, squirrels....

Shaved the other day for the first time in 38 years!  Left on goatee and moustache for now (short).
I had a very short beard before, trimmed my neck the last few years.

I look the same now.......LOL....because my beard was so short.  And nice to see underneath most of the beard.
I get a bit of acne now and then.  (Mother Nature:  Haven't you noticed I'm 68 in June?  >:()

The acne is almost always in the goatee/moustache area.

:(  I'm a little worried some of my skin idiosyncracies (sp) will be more prominent now.

I have Fordyce condition/granules on my upper lip on one side.  Fordyce is common, but usually below the waist. You'll have to look it up....sorry.

Dr., shrink, nurse practitioner:  "I don't see anything. when I point it out to them."   >:(  But you can see it in photographs a bit.

Treatment is controversial....."this may work"....."may not" and so on........  I'd have to pay out of pocket.

Peter

See my avatar - see why I wear a straightjacket 24/7?.....LOL  :o

One brother finds the oddest stuff!

And odd music!:
-Johnny Cash singing in German....also the Supremes!

-Leningrad Cowboys (from Finland).....a little "funny looking!!!"......sometimes they are backed up by the Red Army Band and Chorus - I give the Russkies a LOT of credit for having a sense of humour

-The Screaming Mens (sp) Choir (from Finland).....sometimes called "Shouting Men"
Very entertaining......they "rearrange" a lot of music....LOL.......they don't just "sing" songs, they "sing" treaties, national anthems, The Preamble to the American Constitution.....etc.
If Finland has a treaty with Sweden, let's say, they would "sing" the treaty.....LOL
