We are happy to announce the return of the 16-week Laughing Like Crazy program in collaboration with STAR Learning St. Michael's Hospital. Laughing Like Crazy aims to empower participants and audiences alike, breakdown isolation and anxiety, build self-esteem, and challenge stigma. Looking at difficult issues through the lens of humour provides an empowering perspective on mental health issues, builds confidence, and improves communication.

The backbone of the Laughing Like Crazy program is an intensive 16 week group that teaches participants how to develop a stand-up comedy routine based on their experiences of mental health issues and the mental health system. Each meeting combines mutual support and group building with learning how to write, hone and deliver a stand-up routine. The culmination of the program is a public showcase performance where people perform stand-up comedy for the very first time.

To be a part of the program, we asks potential potential participants to have received WRAP level 1 training and to attend the informaiton session. Here is the detail for the information session.
