MDAO Group Facilitator Speaks Out Against Being Denied Access to U.S

ong-time MDAO group facilitator Ellen Richardson made headlines on the front of the Toronto Star website last week after speaking out against being denied access to the United States.  Last week, Ellen was turned back at Pearson Airport by U.S border patrol because of mental health records they had obtained. The article goes on to explain that the travel insurance company will not compensate her for lost ticket and accommodation fees for the trip she had paid for.  In a further comments made to MDAO staff, she stated that she “wanted to provide a voice for people in a similar situation”.
