Share your expertise! Healthcare providers who work with people with bipolar disorder needed.

As mentioned in a previous blog post, the MDAO is working with the Collaborative RESearch Team to study psychosocial issues in Bipolar Disorder (CREST.BD). They are currently conducting a study to explore wellness strategies for bipolar disorder. The study is focusing on developing new knowledge about effective self-management techniques for stopping progression into hypo/mania and for maintaining balance in this condition.
We are looking for the input of healthcare providers (e.g., psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses and residents) on our online survey, and would like to invite the MDC team to share your insights – there is a brilliant prize package to be won!
What to expect:
- An invitation to participate in the online survey where you will rate how helpful a series of self-management strategies would be for keeping balance in mood in BD, or stopping progression into hypo/mania.
- In 6 to 8 weeks from the completion of the first survey, an invitation to participate in another, shorter, survey.
- After completion of both surveys, an entry into a draw for a prize package containing over $500 worth of books on BD and self-management, a DVD of Victoria Maxwell’s one-woman play, and a $100 gift certificate to either Chapters/Indigo or Amazon.com. Odds of winning are better than 1 in 100!
To find out more, please visit our study page, watch a short video on Delphi methods, or hear about it from our research team by watching our video. To participate, please e-mail Nusha Balram Elliott, the CREST.BD Research Coordinator, directly, at delphi@crestbd.ca.
Thank you and we hope you’ll share your expertise with us!
