Welcome to the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario blog.

Purpose

The purpose of our blog is to offer up-to-date information on events, activities and programs of the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, to share the latest news about mental health of interest to our communities, and to share personal experiences of people living with depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder. This blog does not offer medical or treatment advice, tips or information, and is not a replacement for support and care from a qualified health professional.

Authors

Postings are written by individual staff members, guest bloggers, program participants, people living with depression, anxiety or bipolar disorder or members of the general public. All postings are reviewed before publication to ensure they are in keeping with this editorial policy.

Guidelines for Submitting Posts or Comments

The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario reserves the right to review all content submitted for publication on this blog. The following criteria will guide decision-making on publication of comments or posts.

Content may be refused for publication if it includes:

  • Discriminatory/oppressive, offensive, obscene, threatening or aggressive language or statements
  • Attacks, libel or name calling against individuals or organizations
  • Unsubstantiated, false or misleading allegations or legally questionable information
  • Anything that is confidential or violates anyone’s privacy
  • Commercial advertisements or promotions

Submissions must be under 800 words and relate to the Mood Disorders Association’s mission. All submissions may be edited for length and clarity. Submissions can be sent to the attention of Rachel LeBeau, Communications and Social Media Coordinator, at rachell@mdao.ca
