The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario offers free peer support and recovery programs to people living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We also offer support for family members.

One-on-One Peer Support

Peer Support is for people coping with the isolating effects of mental health issues and stigma. One-on-One Peer Support is for anyone who wishes to connect with another individual with lived experience in a wellness-based environment. The program's aim is to provide support through people who understand what it's like to live with mental health issues.

Toronto Drop-In: WRAP for Families Alumni Peer Support

This group is for people who have completed the WRAP for Families program at the MDAO and are looking to engage in mutual peer support with other WRAP for Families alums. Whether you’re looking for a WRAP “booster session” to brush up on your wellness tools or want to build your support network, this is the group for you!

Dates: The fourth Wednesday of every month, from 6pm to 8pm., beginning September 28, 2016.

Registration is not mandatory, but please RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

Mississauga Peer Support Group: BPD Connects Inc.

BPD Connects Inc. is a support group dedicated to those who suffer directly or indirectly from Borderline Personality Disorder, anxiety and depression.

The group meets monthly on the fourth Tuesday  of the month.

Offer one-to-one peer support to individuals who may prefer that, over meeting in a group setting.

Youth Living Well - New Group

Youth Living Well is an interpersonal skills-building group for youth and young adults aged 16-29 who are affected by mood disorders and related issues. This open-ended group meets twice a month and focuses on relationship issues with immediate family members, friends, and other close supporters. 

Youth Living Well incorporates facilitated peer support, discussions, and group exercises centered around topics such as: stigma, assertiveness, active listening, and personal boundaries.
