The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario offers free peer support and recovery programs to people living with depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder. We also offer support for family members.

Toronto Drop-in Group: LGBTQ Peer Support Group

 

This is a free peer support drop-in group for those in the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Queer community who are living with a mood disorder. Please join us and learn that you are not alone!

The OCD Psycho-Ed Peer Support Group for Individuals

A group for individuals identifying with symptoms of OCD that are presenting challenges in their daily lives.  This could include repetitive and intrusive thoughts that cause anxiety and rituals that are performed in an effort to reduce the anxiety.

In this group, participants will have a chance to talk about their challenges and explore ways of coping.

Sessions will take place on the 1st Thursday of the month from 6:30 to 8:00 pm

Hamilton Peer Support Group: Mood Menders Support Services

Meetings for both individuals with a mood disorder and their supporters are held on the 2nd, 3rd and 4th Tuesday of each moth.  Sharing coping skills, providing support and networking with others facing similar challenges.  See the attached brochure for more details.

 

 

This is a group for people who have depression or bipolar disorder.

The Open Family Forum provides an opportunity for those who are supporting someone with a mental health issue to access and share information, give and receive peer support and find out more about our Family Matters Peer Support and Recovery Program and other resources in Toronto.

Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour Peer Support Group

A peer support group for individuals identifying as a person of colour. This is a respectful and safe space to discuss mental health challenges, as they relate to the complex identities and experiences of racial minorities in Ontario.

This group runs on the 1st Tuesday of the month from 1:00-3:00 pm and the 2nd Tuesday of the month from 7:00-8:50 pm.

This group is for individuals living with both depression and anxiety.

Meetings occur on the first Tuesday of each month from 7-8:50 p.m., and on the third Tuesday of each month from 1-3 p.m.

Please use the access entrance, to enter the building after 4pm. Pressing the button will unlock the door.
