WoW Peace for you that is a lot be dealing with and you sound solid and that your are handling it well so far. Sorry to here about that young man brain tumors they can cause very strange actions from the nicest people. Hopefully your daughters boy friend can find a job soon that will reduce the pressure.

I can't tell you are doing better than normal with this. Its the words you use, the order they are placed, and structurally how it was so well written. This situation caused the focus to not be on OCD is on other things that force you to shut down OCD to help were you are needed.

Nice Job  :)

Paul sorry I missed this you wrote.

P.S. ATT Buddy Mack and/or Peace. The article states the following :Those most often associated with hoarding are obsessive-compulsive personality disorder (OCPD), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and depression.   You two are more up on the OCPD and OCD than I am , any ideas or suggestions?

hording is listed under both OCD and OCPD. My brother is like me OCPD but is a mega horder and he thinks he is perfectly fine and the doctors have brain washed me into mental illness. Wow if that is not a conundrum statement I have never heard one before. I am not a horder by any means I own very little but that has more to do with the sized of my bedroom. 4 feet X 15 feet ya very small its actually behind a cabinet so I have to purge all the time. Hording is not listed as part of ADHD per say but it is a very strong factor of OCPD.

We ! my brother and me have a good but fractured relationship. He loves Trump and I see Trump as a classic psychopathy with very strong narcissistic class b traits, with little to no insight. So ya we are oil and water LOL.

What do you get when you mix sorrow and excellence ?

In this particular performance the lyrics are dark. It about feeling like a creep and a weirdo and not belonging anywhere. Have you ever thought that I know I have. Anyway the song Creep by Radiohead is unique but this is the crowning achievement of this song. This one of the most moving preferences by any artist. Listen to Howe Mondale's comments. The whole place is dead silent before erupting into a standing O. This is breath taking if this doesn't turn you upside down nothing will.

Sounds like Asperger's syndrome  and that is really tough to work with. Your awareness of interaction is very important and it sounds like you are well informed about it. I can understand you need to have that relationship intact. But you must understand that in the real world like people without mental illnesses can't even have long term relationships anymore. Having a relationship and having mental illnesses is damn near impossible. I have found dating women with mental illness  easier cause they can at least comprehend my side or view. Just focus on you, if you are broken everything in your life will be broken.

Breath deep and slow and remember the motto of the Navy Seals ...The only easy day was yesterday... but that doesn't say that today will be bad...today is and will become what you believe it will become. The term mind over matter has more meaning than humans know. Your thoughts alter the universe that surround you as you go. Changing your feelings is changing your thoughts, and that attracts different energy. Feeling positive makes positive...like they say....Like attracts like.

Depression and Bipolar / Re: Getting past the nihilism

You can never go as dark as I have gone, your not alone at all. All humans have a dark side they just wish to not explore it. Me on the other hand think it should be talked about more. Talk therapy in a site like this is good it helps others realise they are not alone. I lived on the dark side of the moon for 20 years with chronic thought's of torturing terrorist since 9/11 and daily suicide from the loss of a child. As long as you FEAR death than suicide is not an option cause we fear the unknown.

Bipolar and the outrageous mania

As we know some of the most important people in history are in fact bipolar. Jim Carry is one of them. You have got to watch this video interview. This is the funniest I have ever seen him and defiantly in a mania stage.

This will brighten up your day.

It will take awhile to get passed this situation. Try to find a girl not on her phone doing social media. We always miss a good thing when its gone. One day they will wake up and say where did the time go. I haven't had a cell phone since 2009 and I have no need at this time.

Tourette syndrome & OCD what would you do ? watch this video

Tourette syndrome (TS) is a neurological disorder characterised by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics. The disorder is named for Dr. Georges Gilles de la Tourette, the pioneering French neurologist who in 1885 first described the condition in an 86-year-old French noblewoman.

OCD Obsessive compulsive disorder

Carlos Guevara's Struggles with both conditions. In 2013 he put it aside and auditioned for the X Factor. Carlos has an amazing voice as he sings this ballad by John Mayor called gravity. This will make you feel great inside but will show you, you can do anything if you try.

Famous People with Bipolar Disorder (Manic Depressive Disorder)

The lineage of people that are the greatest contributors to mankind are in fact mentally ill. The CDC claims there are just over 2 million bipolar people in the USA today. There are 384 million in the USA in 2008. Bipolar’s are very rare and we think and feel much different that the common man. There are many missing from this list as we are still undecided how to diagnoses someone that has been dead for centuries.  Michelangelo, suffered severe mood instability, and many scalars have defining proof  that he was Autistic, and without a doubt lead poisoning from his paints that’s why he had green teeth. Janis Joplin is also missing from this list. If You are bipolar remember my words I wrote in 2007.

“Bipolar is not a curse, it is a difficult to manage gift”.

I wanted to share here about another newly famous bipolar with one of the most beautiful voices to ever grace the stage. Her name I SIA and she is just incredible. So watch and enjoy this outstanding live performance. The wig she wears to hide her face is to represent bipolar being black and white.

General Discussion / The Great American Dream that makes me so happy
« on: February 25, 2017, 05:37:26 pm »
The Great American Dream that makes me so happy

I wanted to share the greatest story of success and over coming mental health issues. In 2012 Chris Rene was worth $ 17 dollars and had a young son. Growing up it started with weed, then beer, then meth, and finally heroin, In 2012 he put himself out there after just getting out of rehab by 2 months on the X Factor 2012.

The moment he walked on stage I felt this amazing energy from him and he had not said one word yet. He did his original which takes huge guts called “Young Homie”. It was an amazing performance that moved me forever. The words are incredible and poignant and so true. I am so proud of Chris and this recording of the song he did 7 months after the X Factor.

Even if you are not into this style music his lovely voice and lyrics will make you feel so good inside. I listen to the video many times a day and always before sleep it erases all my stress.

The best part is Chris is no worth 2.7 million and is makes over 900 thousand per years.
