Lindsay Cader, LL.B, B.A
Ms Cader received her LL.B from the Faculty of Law at the University of Victoria in 2003 and is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada, having been called to the Bar in 2004. She is currently Legal Counsel at the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario in Toronto , where she provides legal advice and direction to College committees and investigators, reviews and advises on College policies and procedures, and conducts prosecutions before the Discipline Committee and the Fitness to Practice Committee.
Prior to her current position, Lindsay practiced in the area of commercial/civil litigation at Gowling Lafleur Henderson, LLP. She also worked at the Law Centre at the University of Victoria and completed a special project regarding public legal education for the Department of Justice in Ottawa.
Lindsay brings to MDAO a history of strong community service, including being the recipient of the William R. McIntyre Medal, the Bonnie Bryan Memorial Scholarship, and the Borden Ladner Gervais Medal all in recognition of her involvement and contribution to community service and social justice. In partnership with a small group of lawyers, Lindsay has run a not-for-profit art gallery in Toronto , helping to promote emerging artists in Ontario.
