I'm retiring!

I have some big news to share with you. After 10 wonderful years at the Mood Disorders Association of Ontario, I am planning to retire at the end of June 2011. Yup....I’m planning on spending the rest of my “golden years” playing golf, learning bridge, ballroom dancing with David, visiting my kids and grandkids on either coast, and escaping Toronto’s brutal winter for a couple of months in the sunny south.

I look back on my 10 years here at the Mood Disorders Association with great pride and so much appreciation for the incredible support I’ve received from so many staff, Board members, volunteers, donors, sponsors, friends, and “fellow travelers”. I believe that, together, we have accomplished a great deal. Those accomplishments will be my legacy.

However, you are not completely rid of me yet. I’m hoping to stay connected with the field of mental health in general and with the Mood Disorders Assocition in particular, providing advice and support as needed.

So I’m planning the best of all possible worlds for me... the fun of retirement and the joy of continuing to be a small part of the Mood Disorders Association's future. I want to thank you for all your support and encouragement. I have no doubt that our paths will continue to cross in the future.
