Making Mental Health and Addictions an Election Priority

Election fever is hitting Ontario! The current MPPs took part in Question Period for the last time today before the election on October 6, 2011.

And, we're ready.

The Mood Disorders Association of Ontario has joined forces with nine other provincial groups to make mental health and addictions a priority for this election. Tens of thousands of Ontarians are not getting the support and services they need. We are working to make sure all political parties come up with concrete plans to improve mental health and addictions services.

You can join us. Here's what you can do right now:

- Check out the Alliance's asks. See what we're recommending the political parties focus on to improve access to mental health and addictions support.

- Email the party leaders. Use our handy form letter, or write your own.

- Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to stay-up-to-date on what you can do

- Let your friends, family and co-workers know about the Ontario Mental Health and Addictions Alliance, and what they can do to make mental health and addictions a priority for the 2011 Ontario election.

We have four months to go until election day. There will be plenty more ways to have your voice heard, so stay tuned!
